About Better Outdoor Products

Nearly ten years ago, Better Outdoor Products started-out as just a “quirky idea” and then steadily developed into a reality. The nay-sayers told us, “Oh, that’ll never work”. But we ignored the conventional wisdom and instead chose to listen to the people who were actually using the equipment. Now, with thousands of Quick mowers across every part of the country and with a wonderful group of supportive owners, we have the joy and the privilege of watching what was once labeled “a goofy idea” slowly becoming an Industry Leader. Many didn’t “get it” at the time (and some still don’t). But after saving our customers literally millions in equipment costs, it would appear that they understand clearly.

Building on decades of experience in both the commercial turf industry and in Information Technologies, we decided to construct a company in a very new way but solidly-grounded in some fairly old-fashioned principles:

• Focus on only those things that directly benefit our customer
• Eliminate anything that doesn’t
• Maximize our Products- Better Features. Better Price.
• Form long-term relationships with our Owners
• Deliver American-Made products with best in class value
• Treat everyone involved with integrity and honest friendship

Pretty complicated “Top-Secret Strategy”, huh? No glitzy ad campaigns or celebrity endorsements. No “salesmen in suits”. Just uncompromising American-Made equipment delivered efficiently and then backed-up with “the loyalty of a Collie dog”. Who would have ever guessed that’d work? (grin)

During this time of financial stress and uncertainty, Americans are shopping carefully to get the biggest “bang for their buck”. Better Outdoor stands committed to providing just that. And, while many of our competitor’s sales are off anywhere from 20-50%, our company continues to be blessed with growth. We take that as a sign that folks like what we’re doing.

The company that you helped build isn’t slacking-off either. You work hard and we do too- relentlessly pursuing new ideas to serve our customers.
